Solar Red 1968 GTO convertible owned by Tim Creery from Horton, Michigan. Tim adds, "This car was purchased from the dealer by my parents in March of 1968. It was our family car when I was a kid. In 1978 they bought a new Pontiac Phoenix and the dealer only wanted to give them $100 trade in on the GTO, so my Mother said that it would sit in their drive way and rot before they would give it away like that. So it did until 1982 when my Dad added onto his small garage and then it was kept inside. They gave the car to me in 1995 and I started a frame up restoration. I finished the restoration in May of 2005. This is an all numbers matching car including the carb, intake, heads, exhaust manifolds, Muncie 4-speed, drive shaft and rear end. I have all of the original documentation including the original dealer receipt, window sticker, owners manuals, Protect-O-Plate, warranty certificate, dealer service reminders, and much more." Aleutian Blue 1968 GTO convertible owned by Jason Pippen from Millersville, Maryland. Jason tells us more, "My father purchased this GTO from the original owner who lived across the street in 1976. He and my older brother drove it sparingly for a few years when it became a rarely driven 'fun' car that took its place in the garage. The car was never altered in any way from its original factory order. I purchased the the car from my fathers estate in 2003. The car has few options: convertible, wood wheel, hide-away-headlights with the real T-3 lamps still shining, 4 speed, tinted glass, and handling package. The car is 'as new' with the original spare, keys & paperwork. The original steel wheels with dog-dish covers & whitewall tires are scheduled to be installed in time for the [2007] GTOAA Nationals. It is scream to drive!" CLICK->

Says Dennis McGee (mcgeed.@fhfb.gov) - "I just love these "Lazarus sites", you know, bringin' the old cars back from the dead."
