Solar Red 1968 LeMans convertible owned by Eddie Giovanniello from Boca Raton, Florida. Eddie tells us more, "It sat for 20 years in a garage. I got the car on eBay for $3,300.01. It is all numbers matching, AM/FM radio with reverb, and everything is as it was in 68. She has 64,000 original miles on her - she has never been rebuilt. The car still has the original bias tires and hub caps. When I come home from the war, (Iraq Freedom) she is getting a complete restoration." CLICK->

Yeah this is a hot photo! How about a nice looking Carousel Red 1968 GTO? This one has been outfitted to look like a Judge. The PHS documentation tells us that the original color was Aleutian Blue with
teal interior and a teal top. Other PHS options included: Turbo hydra-matic transmission, push button radio with manual antenna, Rally gauge cluster and in dash tac, console, luggage lamp, retractable headlight covers, Verba phonic speakers, Rally II wheels, power steering, and ignition lamp.

The engine is an original 400 (YT code 400) rebuilt with: .30 over
with forged pistons and new rings, Ram air III cam and hydraulic lifters, rotating assembly was balanced, mildly ported and polished 4x heads, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake with a Holley 750 cfm carb, and Hooker headers with 3" exhaust back to Flowmasters to 2.5". The transmission is a PW coded Turbo 400 automatic and it has the original non-Posi 3.23 rear end. The air cleaner has been replaced with an aftermarket chrome unit and the windshield washer hoses are all missing from the pump. CLICK->
Here's a look at the innards. Looking through the windshield, it has a '69-style radiator shroud. In here there is a '69 console under a '68 dashboard. The instrument surrounds are painted black rather than chromed. They've added a "Hurst Equipped" emblem to the glovebox door. CLICK->
Verdoro Green 1968 LeMans convertible owned by Adam Rosenfeld from Melville, New York. Adam tells us more, "After a 20 year hiatus from muscle cars, I picked up this 68 LeMans. It's 100% original according to PHS with the obvious exceptions being the GTO hood and spoiler, and the aftermarket chrome rims. It's a driver that I intend to enjoy with my two young sons for years to come and as such, we'll modify it to enjoy it. Nothing that can't be put back, but enough to make it that much more fun to drive (tranny, Qjet, gears, HEI, etc). Thanks for keeping this site as it helps me get back up to speed, so to speak." Verdoro Green 1968 LeMans convertible, left front view. This reminds me of my first car, a Verdoro Green '68 LeMans. Except this one is a convertible with no rust! Check out the cars in the garage. I see a Camaro and a 1967 GTO. CLICK->

A knockout Carousel Red 1968 GTO convertible owned by Ken from Brooklyn, New York. Ken tells us, "I bought the Goat for $500 in 1989 after just getting married and buying my house. Not a penny to my name, the car sat for about 13 years until about 2002 when I was ready to start the full frame-off restoration. In 2005 I was finished with it. It has P/W, P/S, P/B with disc all around. The machine work on the 428 was done by the legendary Nunzi Automotive and assembled by me."
This car does have some Judge stripes down the sides, but the owner stopped short of putting any "The Judge" stickers on the front fenders. PICTURE SET CONTINUED ON NEXT PAGE ...

Says Mark (72gto.@gte.net) - "The pictures are great, and your dealer identification project is something that someone should have done long ago."
