Hardtop Convertible The GTO received a redesign for 1968. Most notable changes included; a shorter wheel base, a more rounded shape, a color coded Endura bumper with optional hideaway headlights, and dual hood scoops which were functional with the Ram Air engines. The 1968 GTO could be ordered in two different body styles - the hardtop and the convertible. The 1968 GTO's set of standard options included; bucket seats, special exterior trim, 350hp 400ci engine (optional Ram Air) with chrome valve covers and air cleaner, dual exhausts, and 3-speed manual transmission with Hurst floor mounted shifter.
