Take a look at this 1965 LeMans hardtop. It appears to be sitting on a 1966 LeMans or Tempest 4-door. Tom Bond sends these in. He explains, "While visiting my old home town in the Cascade mountains of Washington, I drove up the mountain to see if the old junk yard was still there. There was no listing in the phone book. Sure enough the dilapidated sign could be seen through the bushes. What I found was just what I remember from the early 70's. You won't believe these photos and just how many Pontiacs are there stacked up on top of each other. Hundreds! The owner is still alive and wants to sell lock stock and barrel for one million. Property and all! He said he had a dispute with the phone company years ago and told them to pull the phone line."

Too bad it's tweaked. smp:   Where in Washington is this? I live in Covington Wa. Thank you. Bailif69:   Just a quick note. Look at the Tempest under the GTO! Look closely at the rear tail light. It looks like a tail light from a 66 4 door Tempest? Star Chief Jeff:   Take a look at the taillights on the 65. This is a Tempest Custom. It has the more closely spaced chrome ribs than the GTO. SOUR65TEMPEST:   I own a the Black 65 Tempest Custom on this site, this is not a Tempest Custom. Tempest Customs all came with the side molding in place of the pinstripe. It's kinda hard to see clearly on the quarter in the pic, but you'd be able to see them on the door. Correct, the Tempest Custom tail panel does have between 10-13 (bad memory!) ribs on it. My vote,,,,It's a LeMans with a Tempest standard bumper, and a Tempest Custom rear panel. But what the hell do I know! LOL. I think we all can agree on one thing! WE ALL WANT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 09 HEMI C:   I agree with Sour65Tempest. The small rectangular emblem on the trunk lid probably reads 'LeMans'.
