Turismo (blue) 2002 Holden Monaro Bryan Thalbourne from Adelaide SA, Australia. This car is very similar in style to the 2004 Pontiac GTO. Bryan tells us more, "This car is ex-Design Director Michael Simcoe's Monaro company car. He had three built in this non-standard colour until he was happy with the formulation (one other lives in Adelaide South Australia too). At least one Commodore sedan was built with this colour. Then reputedly 30 Series 3 coupes were painted this colour prior to it being an option on the VZ Monaro and HSV GTO coupe. Why it's not a Pontiac GTO color I cannot say. Michael did several upgrades to the car; essentially engine, exhaust, cal., brakes, wheels, and tyres. Sadly these have been 'undone' prior to my purchase. I bought it direct from Holden in March 2005 by keeping in touch with it's progress after seeing it at a (Monaro Club) function in Victoria in July 2003. Michael has promised to provide me with the specifications of the upgrades he did so I can redo them."

GOATMAN!!!: Bryan, this SHOULD be a Pontiac GTO color, after all GTO stands for Grand Tourismo Omologato. Maybe next gen.
mang01: This colour has now been splashed all over several VZ Commodore sedans (sports models only) and even special edition utilities (pick-ups). Someone at Pontiac must not like it for it not to have been added to the '06 GTO color range?
