| Bill: | | With that camouflage, I barely noticed there was something on the hood. |
| 19GTO69: | | It's the Holidays now so I won't make a comment on why the heck someone would try and make a 1968 GTO look like a 1969 Judge ;o) |
| hobie: | | Does she work better than a chamois? Certainly looks better! |
| Stephan A Wright: | | Personaly I can't understand anyone who puts the Judge decals on regular GTO's. A Judge clone is still a clone and anyone who showed up at any of our carshows in Kansas would be humiliated by laughter. I guess a lot of these clone clowns aren't true PONTIAC ENTHUSIASTS and don't understand the importance of PHS documentation & pure throughbreds! (edited) |
| deadgoats.com: | | Because real JUDGE's are unobtainable to the normal folk. I am not a fan of clones, but I am a fan of camo-wearing hood orniments! |
| 73ventura: | | Maybe this guy said man I like 68 GTOs and Judges. So he took what he had and made what maybe Pontiac should have made in '68. Hea I will give it to him, it looks pretty cool, and you can't go wrong with her either! (editor: Yeah! Nodding in agreement and staring at the photo too.) |
| 68gto: | | Com'on now guys, it's this dude's GTO and he should be able to make it whatever he wants. And it looks awesome and she's pretty cute too. (edited) |
| Mr66: | | I've never wished that I was a hood scoop... until now. |
| RayWhite: | | Right on 73ventura & 68gto, two things I learned long ago. Never 'dis a man's car or his woman. In this case I think there are plenty who would like to be in his shoes. My Grandma used to say "jealousy is an illness, we should feel sorry for those who envy and criticize." In addition, ridicule is a form of bullying, another serious dysfunctional behaviour which is unfortunately running rampant these days. Lets call it like it is. All GM did was slap some Judge decals on a regular GTO too, how is this any different? All GM did was put a big engine in a Tempest, stole the name of a Ferrari and bolted it on the side of cheap poorly made entry level car and presto a Holier than Thou following. The original GTO was a Tempest for Pete's sake factory touched with some perfomance modifications. You can do the same things in your backyard and how is that any different than what GM did? All those Tempest parts coming down the line and at the end out pops a Pontiac GTO, the original clone with a Ferrari name. Great marketing don't you think. Pontiac even popped in a 421 NASCAR tri power for the first head to head National Magazine GTO run to show up the Ferrari because the 389 couldn't get it done. Real honest to those hard working folks forking over hard earned cash to get one, only to find that all they could see were Ferrari tailights. When I want to go fast I leave my 35 year old Pontiac at home and take my Cadillac. That Northstar can outrun it and in total comfort too. I call it like it is BUT I still love them GTO's. Nice car BTW. |
| pontgoat69: | | How can any normal guy not like that. I wouldn't kick it out of bed. Oh sorry, garage. |
| henry66: | | All I can say Mr. Wright is thank god I will never go to Kansas for a car show if that is the logic of your thinking. Don't worry though as the owner of this car is more than welcome up here in Canada to show the car and we would have more class than to humiliate anyone that has put in many hours of work on their car. Also to the owner of this fine car, NICE CAR!!! |
| Mr66: | | Ray, you tell it straightforward and with total accuracy to back it up. Very well said. Along with many other cars & trucks, I also have a DTS with the 300hp Northstar V8. And it's true, it's absolutely no comparison to my 66 GTO. That Caddy is more than any muscle car ever was. Those who have ever owned/driven one will understand, despite its disguised look. I've always called it "A muscle car wearing a tuxedo". And PS.. I still wish I was that hood scoop. |
| 73ventura: | | He's all wrong, Kansas is full of some of the nicest cars and Pontiacs that you will ever see. It is also full of the nicest people and the best cooking. Those who don't come to a car show in Kansas are missing out! (edited) |
| Stephan A Wright aka OLD GOAT: | | You have miss read what I said. Yes this car is nice. I think it would be just as hot though without the Judge stripes & emblems. Would you put Shelby emblems on it too cause they look cool? As for the babe which I said nothing about - yeah she's hot but if she scratch's the paint on the hood she's history! |
| RayWhite: | | To 73 Ventura, I figured how could a state with Dorothy and Toto be all that bad, you restore my faith. Thanks pal. To Mr66, I like that "a muscle car with a tuxedo" you are so right on the Deville/DTS, the average car guy just doesn't understand what a superior automobile these late model Cadillacs are. Everyone who gets in is just blown away. My 17 year old can even peal a patch about 30 feet long...with traction control on! I don't ask. As far as the hood scoop goes, jeez, I have daughters that look like that, I can't go there! |
| henry66: | | My apologies to the fine people of Kansas. I did not mean to infer that all the people of your wonderful state would be as narrow minded as some, it's just that sometimes this obsession with "numbers matching" versus non "numbers matching" vehicles seem to overlook the fact that someone might have put a lot of work and money into their automobile for "their" pleasure, not everyone else's. For the so-called Pontiac purists out there, if the vehicle is all "Pontiac", but not numbers matching, does that make it any less a classic muscle car? (not resale value, but the pleasure derived from having one) P.S. to Sean Mattingly, this is the most wonderful website I have ever visited regarding Pontiac and I would like to thank you, and your staff, for all the hard work that it must take to start and maintain it. Kudos from the Pontiac crowd here in Canada! |
| timster: | | I like to look at this picture [:)]... but I too congratulate Sean, his supportive family, and all the others who contribute to this GREAT website! |
| Bill Bolin: | | Very cool car. Very nice looking woman too. I say build your car the way you like and don't worry about what other people say. Take it from one who knows. My double blower GTO is both admired and ridiculed. You can't please everyone. As long as you enjoy it, don't worry about anyone else. |
| royalgto: | | Stop crying about real and not real already, as long as he is not selling it as such it's his car and he can do what he wants. Maybe that's why a lot of people do not go to car shows. People have too much to say. Just say "nice car" and walk. He could put a BMW emblem on there if he chooses. PHS has nothing to do with this guy's car. Do you see a sale sign on it? |
| rockthe69: | | at least she took her HEELS OFF before rubbing her*** never mind Nice CAR |
| Rebelrat1: | | She's not smiling! Must be the hot hood. |
| tnbshr: | | Nice Goat!!! That is all. |
| danny7145: | | When it comes to motorcycles we just say at least they're out enjoying themselves, even when they're not on a [HARLEY] CUZ PEOPLE HAVE SO MUCH TO SAY ABOUT THAT TOO! Ya, I have a Harley because I like it. Good luck with your car, enjoy it. (edited) |
| SouthRunner: | | Note to self: Avoid Kansas car shows. |
