| 64GTOJOE: | | This car sits up really nice. I'm sick of seeing all those lowered muscle cars. It looks like it's ready to pounce! How did you set your suspension up? Awesome car! |
| kent_churchill@hotmail.com: | | My first car was a 64 GTO. That probably dates my age too closely. To be honest, I just turned 55 today. Anyway when I was a kid I could never get the ride height I wanted. Couldn't afford it. Anyone remember those knuckle busting gagets you could twist into the coil springs? They always fell out. Knowing the weak spring that was used in the 64 and that Pontiac upgraded the spring in 1965, I opted to use the 65 coils all around. This made the ride set good in the front, but I wanted more in the back. I've added a set of Gabriel HiJacker air shocks to the back. Thanks for asking! |
| deadgoats.com: | | I am not a huge fan of the 64, but this one is definatly nice! The classic style looked like they were dragging their butts. |
| kulakidz@maui.net: | | My first car was a 64 GTO Tri Power. I raised the rear about two inches by replacing the standard shocks with some heavy duty "load leveler" shocks, which had a coil spring wrapped around the outside. Ride was very nice and the look was awesome. |
| MtrBao: | | In my opinion the 64 GTO is the best looking production car ever made in this country. I still remember the road test that Road & Track did when it first came out. This is my dream car, and this pic shows the 64 at her absolute best, in profile. Congrats on a great job! |
| hookm: | | Great looking '64 Kent. What kind of wheels do you have on it? They look great. |
| kent_churchill@hotmail.com: | | They are Cragar, 390 Street Pro. Thanks for asking. |
| caseyk591@aol.com: | | Really nice 64. Was glad when GM decided to bring the goat back. But wished they would have styled it like the original GTO, not the Grand Am. (edited) |
