This is photo coverage of the 2009 Ames Performance Tri-Power Pontiac Nationals at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio. The dates for this event were August 7, 8, 9, 2009, a Friday/Sat/Sun weekend. However, the vendors and many participants arrive a day early on Thursday. Thursday evening is spent camping out in the grassy field across from the track. Some people sleep in their motorhomes that night, some just sleep in their trucks to get an early start on the Friday Pontiac festivities.

This wild Tempest was seen in the pits. It had a tall dragster wing on it.
