Look what we have here. This picture was taken last weekend (Nov 27th, 2004) by site visitor Peter Scott. This is a batch of 2005 GTOs waiting on the wharf at Port Adelaide, Australia. This is just down the road from the Elizabeth plant where they were built. You can just make out the hood scoops under the white plastic on the hood. Check out an enhanced version of this picture where the scoops are easier to see. I see two Torrid Red 2005 GTOs, next to a Yellow Jacket, next to a Quicksilver, and another Torrid Red 2005 GTO.

This is probably the first shipment of 2005 GTOs coming to the US. Shea:   I wish it was something to really look at, but it just looks like a Grand Am with a sports package and a power block. I am not liking this decade. The end of the Camaro and Trans Am. A Grand Am Australian based GTO thing. On a positive note at least the Charger is coming back with style. GTO Nutz:   Hot Damn, they're coming. I was having a bad day until now! SWEET ASS! The hot GOAT is back to kick some more Blue Oval ASS! Some things will never change! (thought about editing it) Shea:   Overall this decade is bringing the muscle car era back to life. Rumor has a possible 500HP coming. However we need style and perhaps a new body style for the GTO, Impala, Monte Carlo to compliment this upgraded power. I would love it if these cars had nice body curves to go along with their power. The Charger is actually coming back as a 4 door sedan which is the recently changed design so my mistake on that. Pontiac, it's a good start. Just bring the style back to go along with the power. pontiacgearhead:   What's wrong with all these people bitching about the lack of style of the 2004 goat? By the year 2000, the most attractive Pontiac was the Transport. The "create the ugliest frontend contest" was won by the 1998 Firebird. Retro,schmetro! These cars go, stop and turn better than any vintage musclecar. We should be ecstatic that this car exists at all. As of Xmas 2004 in the Grand Rapids MI area these could be found in the paper new for $23,529. They couldn't sell Superbirds new, either. Some were converted back to Roadrunners.
