JayHawkWDS: | | Does anyone know if the Blaupunkt will play MP3's burned onto CD's?? I can't find any information other than it being a 6-disk CD changer. |
Mike D: | | I’ve had my 04 goat for one week now. The stereo has been a problem so far. When listening to the stereo cruising with the windows down (you can do that in LA in December) it will cut out after about 10 minutes. I have already brought it to the attention of the dealer . Since it is a new stereo for a domestic GM model, they are waiting for GM tech to get back with them. It reminds me of how an AMP will heat up and shut itself off and when it cools off enough it comes back on. I'll keep you updated. Also on a different note, my rear defroster didn't work. |
Bruce: | | Mike buddy, don't keep us in suspense. Don't be cruel. Tells us your impressions of the interior, handling and accelleration. And most important of all, do girls like it? Is it a babe magnet? (edited) |
midlifecrisisbluesband.com: | | The '04 Blaupunkt will NOT play MP3's. Oh well. (Hey, a compressed mp3 doesn't encode enough bass to REALLY drive those subwoofs anyway!) |
GTOYEAH: | | Hey Mike, I replaced the Blaupunkt with an eclipse unit, and the output is sooo much better, but I noticed my unit also shut down with high output..so maybe it is an internal problem somehow. Oh and the 2-12" JL Audio W6's with the JLA 1000/1 in the trunk sounds beautiful. U know how the exhaust sounds inside the car..so gives off some clean bass. The Blaupunkt is a total rip. |
geeteoh: | | The Blaupunkt has an automatic distortion limiter. This is probably what is causing your stereo to cut out at higher volumes. You can turn off this feature when you turn on your ignition and go through the menu. Another method is to turn up the amp in the trunk. You have to take out the inner panel on the driver's side rear fender. Careful, turning it up too much can blow the system. |
randys65badgoat@msn.com: | | Needs x-m !!!!!!!!!!! |
Radio Smarts: | | No it doesn't need that evil pay service. Radio is supposed to be FREE! I can't figure out why people will demand that they get to PAY for that crap. XM is not a desirable option. |
michael: | | Why listen to your radio when you can listen to your engine. |
