Monkey the Drummer: | | This hurts my feelings. Someone please help her. This is no place for her to be. Try to think of the day that the first owner brought her home and washed her for all his nieghbors to see. RESTORE,DON'T CRUSH! |
dumb10: | | Someone save it. I would but I live too far away and have no time to go to Washington. |
Amarelo: | | I wish someone would put an e-mail on these wrecks. I'm in the process of rebuilding one and it's really tough to find parts. |
RayWhite: | | Excellent point Amarelo, lots of good usuable stuff on this one, especially that rare NASA hood, nice grilles, hard to find parking lights, bumper and guards, heck the whole header, fenders, side markers, mirrors, trunk lid. Let's not even mention it was the rerarest of the rarest GTO's since it is a Colonade Hardtop and not the Sport Coupe. It was posted 3 years ago so this one is long gone I am sure. |
timster: | | I too, am a '73 owner, and frustrated by the "lack of parts" situation. Might we consider how to pool our collective resources to share information about parts/spares/wanted pieces? Surely we can help each other? (editor: try the Performance Years forums on the main menu) |
deadgoats.com: | | I have some parts available for a 73. Feel free to contact. |
mysticfalls2004: | | I also own a 73, along with a 73 parts car (complete with hood, grilles, bumpers and more. In addition to this I have a 76 LeMans Sport original 455 for parts. I just bought a 74 LeMans also. All this and you would think I could find a decent set of marker lights...still searching. (edited) |
gto lover4life: | | What is wrong with the people who do things to musclecar history like this? In my 44 yrs I'd seen only 3 73 GTO's. If i lived there I would fight tooth, fang&claw to save part of musclecar history & give this tired old girl a home she earned & deserves. (edited) |
unholyterror: | | How could someone do something like this? It doesn't matter if it's a Pontiac GTO, Ford Mustang, Dodge Charger, if its not the desirable make year or whatever they get crushed to make Hondas & Toyotas. They do not realize or care that all musclecars are worth saving mostly one this rare. I wish I wasn't thousands of miles away in PA. I'd bring her home & bring new life to her!!!! (edited) |
filbert fredd: | | it like angel but in a can for arm useage for like the car nice chevy pontiac you got money sell it i will buy for 6 thank you just ask filbert fredd. (editor: stop typing forever) |
Hawk: | | As a Pontiac fanatic, may I offer that they can crush even other American musclecars, just not Pontiacs. To me, a '73 Mustang Mach I or '73 Dodge Charger Rallye, for examples, are nothing but rivals of the '73 GTO. I'd just as soon see them crushed. Long live PONTIAC musclecars, and PONTIAC musclecars ONLY! |
