Look what Bill Schmidt found in at an estate sale that had been sitting in a garage for 21 years! This is one of 6,400 hardtop 4-door LeManss built in 1969. Bill explains, "With only 29k miles the only thing needed to bring the car back to life were four new tires (the spare was new), a new battery, and a master cylinder. As you can see, the car is a rare 1969 Lemans 4-door hardtop NO POST. The front bench seat was raised two inches on steel pipe nipples - the car was owned by a very small lady. Only two of the four rear mounting holes were used to remount the seat. The other 2 left were left open to the elements. The black carpeting shows no signs of water or salt stains. The car was never driven in the rain or snow. In 1984 the brakes were replaced as well as spark plugs. The car was not driven after that. All the glass, chrome and trim and interior are in show room condition. The paint is original with no fading - the bottom is as good as the top. There are a few small dings in the rear quarter panel. The vinyl top is perfect. The car is a 350 2-barrel automatic with dealer installed air which works well. The LeMans runs and drives as new. I have documented the car and its history. As a 4-door hardtop the car is four inches longer than a GTO. I have searched for other 68/69 4 door hardtops in vain. I would like to know if any exist, other than the one you show being in Australia. Don’t drive by a garage sale without looking in the garage."

Bailif69: Keep this car for SHOW ONLY!
Pauls tire fire: This car should be made into a hotrod.
Ponty_LeMans69: Nice car. I also have a '69 hardtop 4-door LeMans.
Mike: Very cool to see something like this. I'm amazed at how original it is. It's nice to see an 'unrestored car'.
henry66: Way Way Cool!!!
Matt: Just bought a 69 4dr hard top today. It was a daily driver for a wacky UCLA professor, thus it has a dozen or so stickers inside and out. It's rough around the edges, being a California car, and it has a rebuilt 350 from a 68 Firebird, but everything else is original. Very beautiful, very clean car. LOVE IT
mburn039: That is by far the coolest car I have seen on this site. I have never seen anything like that! I want to hear more about this thing, keep us updated!
