Red 1969 GTO hardtop owned by George Tewald from Fort Dodge, Iowa. George tells us about his goat, "I bought the car back in 1986. It was a brushed on baby blue (and I mean paint brushed on baby blue...YUCK). The first thing I did was get it a new face lift to this medium red poly with a gray and silver stripe. The engine is a stock 400 with a mild cam and the transmission is a TH400 with a stage 2 shift kit. The rear end is the stock limited slip with 3.23 gears. The exhaust is 2-1/2 all the way to the rear bumper. The interior is the original black buckets with a automatic on the floor with console. I did end up putting a dual gate shifter from a 68, everthing else is original. It did have A/C, but that didn't work so I took it out right away."

The GTO had been sitting for about 3 years. I inherited it, and have gotten her up and running again. I plan on doing a moderate restoration on it over the course of the next couple years.
