michaelpasold@msn.com: She's a beauty. I bought my first car and it was a 68 GTO, Hurst 4 speed, 400cu 350 Mayfair Maize [yellow]. Looked just like this one with tach on the hood, but it had a black top. I sold it when I got back from Nam 1971 for $800. I purchased it in 1968 for $3,000 from the Pontiac dealer in Waukesha, Wisconsin. I sure wish I never sold it. (edited)
gfoxr: This car looks so much like my first GTO that it makes my heart skip. I can almost hear it idling with a nasty lope. I still have a couple of Goats to play with including a '68...and I love them all... but that Mayfair I bought back in '82 is still the ONE I should have kept. It's STILL my favorite color on a '68. No vinyl top...Just Mayfair Maize with a black interior.
