A hood tach is a popular accessory to add to a GTO. If you order one of these through mail order, ask them to also send you a template. They'll send you a piece of paper that shows the exact dimensions to cut the hole in your hood. The most common method is to use a new 4" holesaw on a drill. A new saw will make a nice round hole in a matter of seconds.
