6T9GOAT: Does anyone know what the extra lever is for on the steering column??
geeteoh: Hand lever for bright lights? Ejection seat? I wonder if it is connected to the white box mounted under the dash on the passenger side?
1-1969GTO: I bet he has trouble with the shifter or the owner only has a left hand? That part of the column moves when the trans is shifted at the console. (edited)
Mr66: Looks like a vintage aftermarket accessory. The metal strapping that attaches it to the column, adapts it to any car. Could be anything- maybe a replacement turn signal lever, or a column-mounted high beam switch, or a cruise-control setup, or how 'bout a turbo thruster & afterburner lever?
Carl S: It was a lever for an aftermarket horn. Sounded like a loud cow. The car has factory installed CC. The letters have worn off the turn signal. I have a NOS lever that I will be replacing it with.
