Jim Irvine from Calgary, Canada is restoring this Montero Red 1965 GTO hardtop. Jim says, "I bought it for a song in 1996. I thought I would spend a few $$. I ended up doing a total frame off. Every nut and bolt. All chrome redone. Frame blasted and powder coated. Engine, tranny, rear end completely redone. Interior from top to bottom. New trunk pan, quarters, and rockers. There's nothing that has not been attended to. Three base coats and three clear coats for final paint. It has been a labor of love and I would not want it any other way! This car was not available here in Canada in 1965, so finding original parts were hard to come by. I have bought numerous parts from the States in the past 6 years without any problems. Everyone has been fabulous."
