Nice clear view of the data plate on this blue 1965 GTO hardtop. The 05A in the upper left corner is the date code May first week (May is the fifth month, A is the first week). The 65 under it is the model year. The 23737 is the 2-Pontiac 37-LeMans (Remember the GTO was an option on the LeMans) 37-hardtop coupe series. KAN is for Kansas assembly plant. 13529 is the body number. 217 means a blue interior color. B-B is the upper and lower exterior paint colors of Blue Charcoal. The rest of the plate is probably accessories, options, and maybe the dealer the car was shipped to.
