| kid 65: | | Very nice 65, one of the sharpest ever! |
| wlfmfat4: | | Just surfing and checking your site. The 65 Goat shown here could have been mine. I bought a 65 GTO like this one in February, 1965. Mine had a 2-speed automatic with white interior. The only differences I could see. I put on 84,000 miles on this car in 22 months I owned it and although I went back to the dealer for service the tri-power was never touched and I never lost a race. As a matter of fact after I traded the car, the dealer told me once while it was being serviced the raced the owners son who had a '66 Corvette and my GTO ran off and left it. The Safe-t-Track was unbelievable in this car and roadability was years ahead of its time. Don't know if you will publish this, but my 38 year old memories of this car is as vivid today as they were then. |
| jkrempec: | | In 1966 I purchased my 1st car, a 1965 GTO Ht 4spd 389 3x2's from a gas station owner. It only had 2400 mi. on it, and had not been dragged. It was bare of options, no power anything. Just go! I paid $2400 and sure wish I could have it back. What a car! Mine even had ww's, blue charcoal and an a/m radio. (edited) |
| jfait@charter.net: | | I have the exact car in storage for sale. It's my dad's and I now have to sell it. It does need some work. Put in storage 4 years ago in drivable condition. Storage was (is) in heated, dry garage. I don't know what it's worth. Help? (edited) |
| GTOMax: | | How can I contact you regarding buying this beauty? (editor: You can't. It was for sale way back in 2001.) |
