Tim Thelen from Wichita, Kansas is restoring this red 1964 GTO hardtop. Tim tells us more, "I purchased this 1964 GTO with a 389 4-speed from a friend of mine on March 20th, 2007. I have been removing parts getting it ready for a full restoration. The color is red with a white interior but originally was Silvermist Gray with a black vinyl top and black interior. However, during the tear down process I have discovered that the engine comes from a 1964 GTO that was an automatic. The rest of the car seems to be all original. Hopefully with the engine being from another car, it will not de-value the car too much? Any tips that anyone has, I would be happy to hear from you."

Buckeye in VA:   It appears that the original hood with twin scoops has been replaced with a Tempest or LeMans hood modified with a single scoop.
