The '68 Greats - From Pontiac.

This is a sales brochure from Pontiac.

Book
This old Pontiac brochure has large beautiful pictures. Measuring 11 inches by 11 inches, it covers the GTO, Firebird, Tempest, LeMans, and Ventura in that order. I've left out the Firebird and Ventura pages here. Many of the images are spread across two pages, spanning the fold.
Here is the cover shot... 1968

          Page 1 and Page 2 are a large picture of a green car seen in many other pieces of Pontiac literature. This is a nearly identical one out of another brochure. I didn't bother to scan yet another photo of this same car. They used this nice low angle shot for posters, print ads, and more. It must have been their favorite.

          A GTO hardtop in a nature setting.

              A yellow GTO convertible with big rocks in the background. This could be the same one that appears on the cover.

GTO Features & Specs
There is a lot of text on this page printed in hard-to-read light green letters. We need a volunteer to enter all the text and set it in HTML tables for display here. When you click on the pictures, wait to see the captions at the bottom of each. I scanned them too.

      The engine picture is particularly cool. Text specs are given for engines, shipping weights, and axle ratios.

      \PAGE THIRTEEN/  \PAGE FOURTEEN/

Special Road Packages
GM was selling Sprint packages with 6-cylinder engines to combat the European sprint-type cars. This car is a Tempest with the Sprint package. They must have been rare, because I have never seen one in person with the "Sprint" stripes down the side. All the text specs are given on these two pages. Again, we need a volunteer to enter all the text and set it in HTML tables for display here.
CLICK -> 1968 1968 1968
      The engine picture is good. Text specs are given for engines, transmissions, axle ratios, and suspension.

      \PAGE NINETEEN/  \PAGE TWENTY/
LeMans
The LeMans shown here has a standard 350 and some optional Rally I wheels. We need a volunteer to enter all the text specs on this page and set it in HTML.
CLICK -> 1968 1968 1968 1968
      The 350 engine is displayed along with a few engine specs.

      \PAGE TWENTY-ONE/  \PAGE TWENTY-TWO/
Ventura appears across these two pages.

Says Bill Moore (billm.@williamsco.com) - "I could not find a '73 GTO until I found your website. This is great!"
