The Scott Family sent in this picture of a black 1965 GTO. They tell us, "This 1965 GTO was for sale at a large car auction in Fairfield, Iowa. It has a 64 hood of another car on it to protect the engine. This car was wrecked back in 1965. It only had 8,000 miles on it. It has the original 389 4-barrel under the hood still. All of the original interior is in the trunk. The car sold for $3700 to a friend of ours. That is John Scott in the red hat standing by the car. His GTO's pictures are on this site."

Star Chief Jeff:   Looks more like a 64. Look at the headlight holes in the header panel around the radiator. I've never seen a 65 with horizontal headlights. Evan Scott:   Yes, that's a '64. latech47:   Take a better look at it. Notice the roof. It is at least 2 cars and if it is a 65 then the GTO hood makes it at lest 3 cars. Core support looks to be a 64 as suspect by the horizontal light arrangement, hood may or may not be from same said 64. Evan Scott:   Aha! You're right - I think. Still looks like a '64 to me.
