White 1969 GTO convertible owned by Ron. It's got a 400cu./350HP engine, 4 speed transmission, air conditioning, and disc brakes. Ron had this to add, "I bought the car pretty much done up and added a little T.L.C. I redid the interior, added the redlines, hood tach and new front grills. The car is not mint but it is a real beauty. The best feature, its a "driver." Its been a long time between GTOs (30yrs) and you know what it is as much fun owning one today as it was back then."

gr90@charter.net: Hello, my name is Greg Shaw. I have a 69 convertible and was wondering about the vin. number of this 69. Is this a GTO or a clone?. My vin is 242679B. (2)pontiac (42) gto (67) conv (9)year. Could you help with this question? Thanks, Greg Shaw (edited)
Star Chief Jeff: Greg, that is a very valid question. If 237375K130049 is the actual VIN number on the ID plate on this 69 convertible, then at some time in its past, the car was stolen and had the data plate from a '65 LeMans or GTO riveted onto it. 2=Pontiac; 37=Tempest LeMans (all 65 GTOs were options on the LeMans body); 37=2 door coupe; 5=1965; K=Kansas City. So, the 69 Convertible should be 242679, not 237375.
rbarba328@aol.com: I don't know where that vehicle ID # on the post came from. The correct # should be 242679B171946. It's funny but I never noticed that it was incorrect.
