Vintage photo of Michael Ellerbeck's Nocturne Blue 1964 GTO sport coupe. Michael had this story to share, "This was the pride of my 19 year old life. Still, hands down, the best car I have ever owned. I grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska. I sold my 68 Charger to get it. It had a rebuilt 400 bored .30 over from a 68 GTO with a bit of a cam, a Muncie M-22 4-speed with Hurst shifter, and a 4:11 rear end. The only problem I ever had was keeping it on the ground. It would never hook up quite right but after the initial bump would cream. Definitely a sleeper. The surprise usually sunk in by time I hit 2nd gear. I'm now a record producer and this car helped me fund my band at the times first demo from street racing winnings. Last time I saw the car was 5 or 6 years after I sold it. It was for sale again. Someone had started to put the paint back to the original maroon but hadn't finished it. By the time I got my financing together to buy it back, it was gone!" CLICK->

This Nocturne Blue 1964 GTO Sport Coupe was built to replicate the Royal Bobcat 1964 Car & Driver test car. The engine is 421 with internal modifications. The engine appears to be a stock 389 Tri-Power from the outside. It looks like a trailer queen but runs a 1/4 mile in the 12's at 107+.

Reef Turquoise 1964 4-door Tempest owned by John Widiker from Rochester Hills, Michigan. John tells us about his 1996 purchase, "I picked this up a few months ago. It's my third '64. So far I've done negative camber tall spindle mod, poly bushing, Eibach springs, KYB shocks, and a bunch of other suspension work. It handles better now than my 2002 Z-28. The engine is a 215 and it has a two speed auto. Plans right now are to add fuel injection and a big turbo to the six cyl then add a 4-speed 200-4R overdrive transmission to it." CLICK->
